Had previously tried another dish that came with soup, and the soup was awful. Tiny cramped restaurant, kind of dingy, needs a facelift! Wish I could say something good about it but so far, nothing but disappointments. Well, it's cheap at least... |

The food is consistently excellent, and have yet to be disappointed by their quick and friendly service. I will usually get the Chicken Donair plate which is just awesome. The chicken is very tasty and they give you some rice, greek salad, tsaziki, and nice warm bread on the side. Another great option is the pizza. I've been to all of the 'best' pizza places in Vancouver (Nat's, Flying Wedge, etc) but Bawan's beats them all. An excellent value with incredible taste. |

Well the food isn't out of this world, but I can't complain about the price (This restaurant would be in comparison with Stepho's in downtown... only smaller....much smaller) but really good for lunch time and hey, why not go for a nice inexpensive dinner as well. You do get your moneys worth for sure and you won't be dissapointed. |

The ladies who answer the phone are always friendly and super sweet. The same gentleman who's delivered our food is always nice and polite too. Delivery is quick, usually 30 min.
We've only tried a few things on the menu, with the baked spaghetti being one of the items we always get (thanks to the reviewers here who recommended it). It's so good covered in gooey cheese and it's such a huge portion for $9. The lamb souvlaki is pretty decent too. Last time we ordered from them we decided to try something new and got the Pepper Steak dinner. I was kind of expecting a steak au poivre kinda thing, but instead, it was chunks of beef, peppers, onions and mushrooms swimming in a sweet/sour barbecue sauce. It tasted ok, but really not what I thought it was. I'm also not a mediterranean food expert, so I don't know if this is an authentic dish or just something the chef threw together. Next time I'll probably try the pizza.
Overall, a great choice for take-out/delivery. |

The cheese pizza is fantastic with a home made crust. The pasta is excellent, everything is excellent. Huge portions and quality food they are definately underpriced. Delviery is quick, less than 30 min and always arrives hot. |

For $5.95, you get a skewer of plump savoury chicken (or beef, or lamb), fresh greek salad with a wedge of lemon, half a roasted potato done al dente, a bed of tasty rice (looks plain, but full of flavour), whole pita (flatbread kind) and some thick, creamy tzatziki. I can never finish the whole thing, even though I want to. The baked spaghetti is GREAT. The meat sauce is a bit spicy; just enough to give your buds a tingle but the well-blended flavours of meat, sauce, and spices make you want to scoop up more. The whole thing is topped with browned cheese that you need to mix well quickly before it hardens again. Great stuff for you cheese and pasta lovers...very filling! Roast lamb is soft and tender and flavourful, almost fragrant (which is good, cuz I hate that 'gamey' taste lamb has). Great deal for lamb for just $10.95 with all the sides as well. The restaurant looks a bit like a hole-in-the-wall...best to use it as take-out. They advertise delivery and catering available as well, but haven't used that yet. Have seen some regulars come in to sit down, but you might have to wait a while, especially during lunch rush. Since it seems like it's just a family doing all the work, service can be crunched (they are very nice people though). If you don't like sitting in a small restaurant, again; get the take-out. Will try their pizza next. |
