Pricy average bbt
I've been here a couple times but I actually tried the food tonite. I ordered the taiwanese deep fried chicken thigh that comes with 3 sides+ rice and a lychee green tea to drink. The chicken thigh was a thin filet that was crispy, it was good but nothing really special. The sides were some cold veggies with chili oil, tofu, and the 3rd side looked like someones left over hot pot veggies but i tasted it and it really did taste like it. My drink was what it should be so no complaints. The food and drinks here are decent and they are usually busy in the evening. I would come here to eat just bc their food is decent for a bbt place but otherwise I think 4.50+ for a bbt without pearls or anything is too pricey. Most of their rice dishes and hot pots are $7.50+ and $8.50+ so again, given a choice id eat somewhere else. However, the appeal of this restaurant is if you want somewhere you can eat and sit a long time!!

not as good as the reviews say
I read the reviews here. I thought it was going to be a well decorated store with good food. I have to say I was a little bit disappointed.

The store does have some design but not as good as the reviews say. It's decent but not cool or nice looking. The pictures on the website look way better than the store really looks like.

Service is better than I expected. The lady was kind and patient that day. I really appreciate her good service.

Now let's talk about the food. It's hits and misses really. My bubble tea was bad, the little jelly like balls were very hard. I don't know if they were undercooked, or left there for too long. Maybe the staff left the balls in the fridge and they hardened. The other drink is OK, average. Appetizer and noodle dishes were average. Nothing to rave about. I just can't pass that they made really bad bubble tea that day. I mean bubble tea is their specialty/main attraction, how could they screw up?

I don't think they have best or one of the best foods among bubble tea restaurants. The place is popular because it opens late and it DOESN'T look run down or depressing like other late night joints. It's pleasant enough to go there and grab some snack at 11PM. The food is so so but where else can you go at 12:00AM or 1:00AM in the morning without getting a cringe or depressed by the creepy looking interior most stores have.

Would I go back? Yes, I would go back when I want to eat during late night. If it's still early, all other restaurants are open, Well Tea would not be my choice because I want something that tastes better.

Funky and cool
Though it might be a bit hidden, the restaurant has this funky and cool feel ideal for ppl who want to chill, especially for teenagers like me. The dishes like the taiwanese fried rice and stew i had, tasted authentic and freshly made. The chicken and pork was crispy and tender which definitely made it worth its price. The drinks were good quality and not just mixed with the cheap syrup sugar concoction normally sold at bubble tea joints. Another leading aspect is the liveliness of the restaurant which gives the restaurant a friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the remote that they installed, making dinning more convenient and COOL! THanks to their late closure!

Great food with nice ambience
A friend of mine was raving about their spareribs noodles so I decided to give it a try. The fried spareribs was very tasty and the broth of the noodles was very flavorful unlike the bland broth of Flotea. Its seems that the soup was made from pure pork stock.

Their fried chicken was good too but their fried rice was a little salty. The portion of their food is quite big.

Overall, I recommend this restaurant for those who want tasty Taiwanese style food with a nice soothing ambience.

Better Than Average Bubble Tea
My brother introduced this place to me recently.
Like it very much. Cute waitress, wireless ordering/paging system which is neat.

Tried the Ma Po Tofu plate and some side dishes. All very good and the blueberry yoghurt slush good too.

I always wonder about the food quality in these places, but this place seemed to do well. I sure hope that they maintain the level of food quality and keep the consistency going.

I'll be back again tonight for another try.

Well Tea is a good place to chat
Everytime I went to Richmond, I'll go to well tea for sure. Friends always ask me to go there, he said that it is a good place to chat. Since the restaurant are pretty big, it let me feel really comfortable. Also not to noise compare to other bubble tea restaurant. The lights are soooo much betters than an other bubble tea restaurant, that restaurant was too bright and it let me feels like under the sunshine. So well tea is better!!!!! By the way I like the service ring!!! The only thing I don't like about well tea is that sometimes I went there I can't find a spot to park. HO... also the other things that my friend told me is that, the girls washroom was just too small, it let her feel really uncomfortable.

Well...
This place is kinda hidden unless you drive by this street often. They are located right beside the dollar store.

We wanted to try something new the other day so we decided to check this place out. It was around 5pm on a weekend and it was kinda dead. The place is huge with decent decor. The prices were on the expensive side. Approx 4.25-4.75 per bbt. I don't normally pay that much. As for snacks, there were nothing under $5 unless it's toast. The drinks were pretty good, not outstanding. And the food was yummy.

Not sure if I would come again. It's nothing better than the other bbt places.

Well Tea does very well
I wanted to try a different bubble place one night and asked the girlfriend's sister to see what else was else there. We were recommended here.

Lychee Slush is my standard for testing so ordered it up immediately while the girlfriend ordered her usual Milk Tea with Half Pearls. My drink had a nice slush balance, with the first sip just as slushy as the last. Excellent sweetness too. Only complaint was that there was no lychee meat to be found. The gf's milk tea also had the perfect sweetness, not overshadowing the strong tea tones. Good pearls with a not too chewy texture.

Not much to say about the service other than that they greeted and said goodbye to us and was polite when taking our order.

Modern, clean and open space with a dark theme and lots of glass in place as dividers. Overdone for an inexpensive beverage establishment in my opinion.

Great bubble tea to be had here. A worthy top 3 contender.

MmmMM
FOOD: matcha slush was so good! it's like the green tea frappucino from starbucks. i also had some fried udon dish, which i thought was really good (and filling) as well!

SERVICE: well there is a little service button at each table, so the service was inevitably solid. however, unlike other restaurants they never check up on you or anything, which really isn't that big of a problem to me. but i suspect that if there were more people, the service would not have been as good.

VALUE: like many other bubble tea restaurants, but the bbt is a littttle more expensive. bubble tea ranges from $4-5.25, or something, and food varies from $4.50-7.95

AMBIANCE: i really liked it in there. it was clean and quiet, very peaceful. I just liked the way everything was arranged, especially where there are panels of glass that cover little displays! you'll know what i mean when you go there!

Great bubble tea and food
Because of it's central location (near No.3 rd, Alexandria, Parker place, etc), we go to Well Tea a lot when we feel like a light meal or a snack. The first thing that stands out when you walk in is the decor. It's very hip and trendy, making the place seem like it should be in Yaletown instead of Richmond. The waitresses are always friendly. Well Tea has a huge selection of bubble tea and most of them are really good. The pineapple slush, pineapple apple green tea, and the house special milk tea are some of my favorites. They also have specialty slush creations which are generally a combination of many flavors. (The Nemo slush has goldfish crackers swimming in it. O.o)

The food at Well Tea is also top notch. The deep fried chicken nuggets and deep fried squid are both our favs. Our carb-loving friend also raves about the fried rice and noodles. The hotpots are decent but not the best I've had. The wonton noodle soup was not very good. However, everything is cheap (around $4-$7, hotpot being $10) and great value.

Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Possibly the best bubble tea here....
I'm a firm believer that good ingredients make a difference. That said, I was very happy to find that both my taro slush and my bf's green tea w/ blueberry were made with fresh (read REAL and not powdered) taro and blueberries =D

The food wasn't as good as the tea but still a notch higher than other bubble tea places I've tried. We had the house special beef noodle soup and the chicken lemongrass hotpot. The beef noodle was good but a bit salty, especially near the end when we got down to the bottom of the bowl. The hotpot was interesting and definitely had the lemongrass flavour but was lacking all other flavours... still, both dishes were very well presented and overall, not bad. I gave 4 stars for food because the bubble tea is THAT good.

Service was good. Ambiance was great. Beautiful entrance and I particularly loved the floors *you'll see what I mean*.

Recommended.

Well Tea, Well Done!!
LOVE this place for a late night meal. The portions are quite generous and the food is quite flavorful! The aromas of the fried rice, awesome soup base for the noodle soups, delicious snacks-- the Red Fermented Pork is a must try!!!( i know it sounds funny, but if you like BBQ pork, you'll love this!) Nicely greeted and seated once you enter... and their drinks are quite good too!!The slushes actually stay slushy and doesnt come to you half melted. Try the Lychee-Rose Slush~ its absolutely FLAVORFUL! I think this place is similar to pearl castle... but I would rather go here as I dont have to wait as long to get seated. Plus they have deep fried fish cake, which pearl castle always " run out" of.. The Ambiance is AMAZING! you get a feeling of relaxation and zen once you walk in. There;s a little japanese well right at the entrance, and the whole theme of the restaurant is just very nice! WELL DONE!

Totally recommended for Lunch and Dinner too! Not just a snack~

Well Tea has Double Ts - Trendy & Tasty
A trendy place, not known to many because of it's location and perhaps a misconception of being only a tea place but now that you know, you should make an effort to try. They have a wide selection of bubble tea and surprisingly a good selection in their food menu. We ordered the 3 spice chicken, Taiwanese Chicken Thigh in soup noodles and Taiwanese Spareribs. The food was very tasty and everything was great but some dishes may come in smaller portions than others. Regardless, worth a try and going back.

Best Bubble Tea and Small Snacks!
Well Tea has really good bubble tea!! I love their Hazelnut Milk Tea with or without pearls depending on my craving! They make it with pure tea and the taste is really light and mild sweet. My favorite meal is the Deep Fried Chicken Nugget with Rice its only $6.95 and it comes with a lot of chicken, rice, vegetable on the side and tofu. I also love the Deep Fried Fish Ball with sweet and spicy sauce on the side. I love going to Well Tea for late night take out or just dine in!
