My wife and I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Special, Udon special, and Gomae. Chicken was old and tough, and tasted like it was really old. Udon was not that great as well. And Gomae, how do you mess up Gomae but apparently they can. They just covered the darn spinach with brown sauce, it just tasted like *beep*. We asked for tea and they even CHARGED us. The bill came to $18.00 and I think we could have gotten a better meal at a T&T for half the price. I would not recommend this place and there are way better VALUE japanese restaurants in that area. |

The staff provides excellent customer service-- as soon as you walk in you are greeted by a very pleasant lady I assume is the owner, even though she is usually standing by the till a ways away. It's true that it is fast food, but nonetheless it is very satisfying and yummy. All the cooks are also very friendly and greet you with a big smile when you leave. Mind you, they all know me because I frequent the place, but it didn't take them long at all to recognize me. The waitresses are always very attentive, one of them gave me and my boyfriend matching key chains from when she visited Korea, and another one made a point of remembering the dishes that I like to order. The usual, "Did you enjoy?" from the owner when you pay at the till always makes me smile , mostly because she says it so nicely and with a huge smile on her face. The only thing that I don't like is that they charge for tea (65 cents or something). They do give you hot water refills, though, because they give you a tea bag. Also, their miso soup is not very good at all. I do thoroughly enjoy their donburi dishes, spicy tuna rolls, the best avocado-veggie tempura rolls ever, and their gyozas. Also very clean! |

It is a decent place for a quick lunch at a very low budget, especially for those who are pressed for time at work for lunch hour. It is a "fast-food" restaurant, so do not expect top quality Japanese food, everything is instant and you pay what you get for. There is not much ambiance at this place, but then again, it is meant to be a fast food place.
I do advise that diners DO NOT CONSUME THE RAW FOOD here. My colleague suffered food poisoning from the raw sushi from this restaurant. They also forgot to serve half of my lunch portion. I ordered a Combo C (California roll and Udon), and they served me only the sushi and quickly shoved the tab onto the table to usher me out. |
