Tasty Sandwich I tried Las Tortas for the first time this Saturday and I'll be back. That is saying a lot since I'm not a sandwich fan, too many university and work brown bags. Las Tortas' sandwich fillings were fresh; cabbage crisp, meats nicely spiced and the bun was crusty and fresh and did not go soggy next to the sumptuous fillings as many paninis do. The aqua fresca is a nice alternative to overly sweet juices and soft drinks and very refreshing, they brought back memories of Central American trips. The service was friendly and quick, they have set things up to help the newby make a selection and place an order easily. Even though it is geared for take out (the order form is printed on a brown paper bag), they do have seating for about a dozen patrons.

Delicious! I just finished a slow roasted pork sandwich and it was awesome. It was fairly pricy ($11 for a sandwich and a pop) but worth it in my opinion if you want to treat yourself. There was a lot of great other options which I want to try out.
The place is clean and simple and the service was very friendly. It's in a good and convenient location.

Tasty sammy, but hard on the wallet Really good Tortas. I had the hawaiian and was surprised at its deliciousness, especially how they aren't afraid to throw in a couple of jalepenos. At $9/sandwich I most likely won't be going back, though, unless I'm not that hungry and I have someone with whom to split the sandwich.
The ambiance inside is terrible...even worse than a subway and the place was smoking hot from the sun/kitchen. I couldn't stand it and took my sandwich home for eating.
I'd only go again if I was in the neighbourhood and was really hungry enough to eat a $9 take out sandwich.
